Margaret Harrell – Rider on Horse – in exhibit

Bruges is the exquisite canal-lined city in Belgium that tourists love, just a half hour from Ghent, another old Flanders city, and I’m a dual national. Bruges is one of the loveliest cities in Europe, a little Venice. The event is the Flanders International Biennal of Contemporary Art. And I will be among 60 artists.

Right in the middle of the city, all that is best about Bruges and about life in general comes together in a unique cultural site: art, culinary delight, elegant meeting and function rooms, stylish interiors and spacious outdoor terraces with a magical view of the picturesque canals. Whoever enters the Old St. John Site will be amazed by the almost tangible presence of the rich history of Bruges. This is the spot where one of the earliest infirmaries in medieval Europe once stood. During the 19th century, it was home to the St. John’s Hospital, with its large communal wards. Following the closure of the hospital in 1976, these spacious wards were restored and since 1989 have formed part of the Old St. John Congress and Event Centre. The different halls are ideally suited for the organization of congresses, trade fairs, events and social functions of all kinds.

Flanders Biannual exhibit – Oud St. Jan Museum – Bruges

A permanent Picasso exhibition is a big draw. It has 300 works of this famous 20th century Spanish artist – mostly graphic art, with one of the most extensive collections in Europe. At the moment, there is also an exhibition of the work of Andy Warhol. In 2015, the Centre was the location for Body Worlds (Körperwelten), in 2016 it was Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Last year, in 2017, it had the exhibition “Da Vinci, the inventions of a genius.” From March 31 on, it became the venue for the exhibition “Mummies, The Secrets of Ancient Egypt.”

Warning!  Reading Margaret Harrell’s Keep This Quiet! IV may literally CHANGE YOUR MIND . . . and, perhaps your entire life!

The reasons for stating this are multiple, but first and foremost, this book is psychoactive.  Truth is illuminating and what this book does is simply light up the same Truth that is in you . . . that is in all of us.  It is said “The Truth shall set you free.”

Well, this is it.

The long version:

When you get down to it, each one of us can only know our own experience of life, our story, which is of course, lived through whatever filters we (or others) have “installed” upon our perceptual vision.  It is rare that an individual comes along who has, through conscious intent, removed most or even all of the distorting veils from their spiritual eyesight that they are able to tell/share their story without any false filters at all—or, to put it another way—truthfully—which can only be done utilizing the only filter which reveals truth . . . and that is LOVE (which is actually no filter at all.) Because of illness, Jef Crab has postponed his June 2017 trip to the U.S. but will reschedule it for spring 2018 in Raleigh, NC. In the meantime, he intends to set up several online FREE discussion events. Stay tuned for updates.

Jef Crab (Louvain, Belgium 1957) had the privilege to study under close guidance and private instruction of Masters in various disciplines and spiritual paths. Amongst them Jóska Soós de Sóvar, the well-known Hungarian shaman with roots to Siberian Shamanism, and Akira Tasumura, Zen master and world-famous painter and Ikebana teacher. At Yeunten Ling, the European Centre for Tibetan Buddhism at Huy, Belgium, Jef also received three initiations from the Dalai Lama, amongst which two personal/individual. To this day Jef also continues the study of inner movement and spiritual development as taught by the nowadays 113-year-old Taoist sage, Grandmaster Hua-Ching Ni, “heir to the ancient wisdom and teaching of an unbroken succession of 74 generations in the Taoist tradition.”

In his long search for easy to learn, yet efficient energy techniques, applicable in daily life he finally developed a universal method not bound by any one tradition. For more than 15 years he researched and experimented with these techniques in teaching them around the world, from Israel to Belgium, to South America. Today his E.A.S.T.® Institute is a partner organization of UNICEF (Suriname).

When not teaching in Europe or elsewhere on the planet, Jef lives and works in the La Rencontre Training Centre, Suriname, cradle for many Earth Restore Programs at the rim of the Amazon Rainforest in close cooperation with tribal people, taking frequent treks into the interior.

I have just watched “Using Dreams to Clear Clutter”  – under Julie Coraccio’s “Liked Podcasts”  – and I really enjoyed it. Julie is a marvelous interviewer. And that ability shines through. Also, I loaded the answers with examples, as dreams are storytelling vehicles. Please do watch it. I guarantee you’ll find some interesting tips on dreaming.

Declutter Your Life

We all have gifts and talents, but clutter, whether it is physical, mental, emotional, spiritual or energetic keeps you stuck. Julie Coraccio supports you in Reawakening Your Brilliance through clearing the clutter to create the life you choose, deserve and desire!

On Tuesday,  September 13, her taped interview with me on Dreams and Decluttering – in particular, the Jungian interpretation of dreams – first aired. The exact title is “Using Dreams to Clear Clutter.” I initially only heard it – but didn’t see – it, as my iTunes program wasn’t cooperating. Julie did a fantastic job! Examples I gave include how – through dreams – a man was able to avoid marrying someone he unconsciously knew was wrong for him, how – in a dream – I got the message not to continue analysis at the Jung Institute, what it means when you dream that someone in driving you in a car. That is, usually, for all dreams are unique to you and can reflect your own batch of symbols. Also covered in the interview are tips on manifesting as well as how to build a relationship with “the unconscious.” And how this is a key to creativity.

The fourth volume in a thoughtful and occasionally iconoclastic series, “Keep This Quiet” takes place in the ’90s in Tienen, Belgium, where assorted parapsychological phenomena accompany the death of her housemate. Quickly checking in with Hunter Thompson, she winds up at Owl Farm, then returns (via the Bay Area) to her Flemish home base. Initiations welcome her back and she goes further onto her path, which spans spirituality and the quantum mind, Hunter Thompson and the Indian guru Dhyanyogi-ji, whose tradition of Kundalini Maha Yoga she is initiated into.

Critique: Keep This Quiet!: More Initiations is an inherently fascinating, engaging thought-provoking, and consistently compelling read from beginning to end. Of special note is the inclusion of exercises to offer the reader deftly crafted practical help in learning how they can work with metaphysical energy. While very highly recommended for community and academic library Metaphysical Studies collections, it should be noted for students and non-specialist general readers with an interest in the subject that Keep This Quiet! IV is also available in a Kindle edition ($6.95).
